Malaysia was formed on the understanding that Sarawak will be treated as equal partner, with equal status and opportunities with the Federation of Malaya. At no time it was agreed that Sarawak should be made a colony of Malaya.
It was also never been the intention of our forefathers to see the federal constitution be more superior or supreme than the Sarawak Constitution.
Equal partnership and equal status means federal Parliament should not pass any law or use the federal constitution to override the Sarawak Constitution without the sanction of the Sarawak Legislature (DUN).
It is clear from legal opinions of the United Nations and other legal experts, the Federal Constitution was infact the constitution of Federation of Malaya with amendments to accommodate for the "admission" of Sabah and Sarawak to be federated with the states in the Federation of Malaya. Malaya then changed its name to Malaysia.
It was not the intention of our forefathers to see Sarawak be used to enlarge the territories of Malaya and to use the federal constitution to control the administration and government of Sarawak.
Therefore, the federal constitution, which was the constitution of Malaya, should not be used to control Sarawak without sanction of DUN.
Sarawak DUN did not pass any motion to accept the Emergency rule declare by the King and GPS government should not accept this declaration of emergency be extended to Sarawak.
Sarawak GPS government should seek representation about this to the King to revoke the emergency rule.
What will happen if the King extends the emergency rule beyond 31 August 2021 and will extend the same again for a few more times? Democracy in this manner will make the citizens restless as there will be no check and balance of what the GPS government will be doing.
Sarawak needs no emergency rule be extended from federal because Sarawak government is capable to run Sarawak affairs.
There is no enemy attack by a foreign force, except, by Covid-19. Sarawak also has its own law to fight Covid-19 and federal laws are irrelevant to Sarawak.
