17.09. 1957 is the Federation of Malaya (Federation of Malaya) registered in the United Nations as a member, not Malaysia. The territories of Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak were included in the territory of the Federation of Malaya and Federation of Malaya was renamed Malaysia at the United Nations on 16.09.1963.

Therefore, there has never been a new country "Malaysia" registered as a member of the United Nations. Because of this, the Federation of Malaya is Malaysia, and Malaysia is the Federation of Malaya. Singapore separated from the Federation of Malaya and became an independent country on 08.09.1965.

In 1963, Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) was signed by the Federation of Malaya and the three British colonies (Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak). At the legal level, an independent nation, the Federation of Malaya, is illegal to sign contracts with three British colonies. Even if the contract is legal, the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63) is like waste paper when Singapore leaves the Federation of Malaya.

The Federation of Malaya and Sabah and Sarawak should have signed a new contract to replace the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63), but the officials and related parties at the time did not complete this part. Strictly speaking, Sabah and Sarawak were already free when Singapore separated from the Federation of Malaya.

Does this also mean that we are still living under the laws and government of the Federation of Malaya? What is the status of Sabah and Sarawak? A colony of the Federation of Malaya? The governments of Sabah and Sarawak still have to bend low to seek mercy losing all the dignity?

The Sarawak government can unilaterally declare independence, why not do it? The big reason is likely the consideration of personal gains and losses of politicians that deter them to take the bold step.

Therefore, the Parti Bumi Kenyalang bears a heavy responsibility and needs the response and assistance of the Sarawak people on the road of "In Quest Of Independence". It is time for Sarawak people to declare our understanding of Sarawak indepedence status through supporting Parti Bumi Kenyalang in the coming Sarawak election.
