When Malaysia is just a name change of federation of Malaya to federation of Malaysia at United Nations, anyone trying to inculcate patriotism towards federation of Malaysia will be perceived by sarawakians as acceptance of "colonialisation" by federation of Malaya using the faulty document "Malaysia Agreement 1963" after inclusion of territories of Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore into federation of Malaya.
Malaysia Agreement 1963 is not a valid document because during signing of MA63, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore were still colonies of Britain while federation of Malaya was granted independence in 1957. Accordingly the unequal status of various partners, supposedly of equal status partnership, making MA63 null and void. Even if MA63 is a valid document, with the separation of Singapore from the federation of Malaysia, legally speaking MA63 is no longer a valid document and Sabah and Sarawak are relinquished from the obligation to remain in federation of Malaysia.
Under such situation, patriotism of Sabah and Sarawak people towards their own territories is correct and undisputable.
