Sarawak is rich in natural resources. Yet many of our rural communities still live in poverty without proper roads, sanitation, clean water, or stable income.
This is unacceptable. Parti Bumi Kenyalang calls for the immediate establishment of a *Sarawak Poverty Alleviation Political Action Team* — a disciplined, full-time task force stationed directly in rural villages.

This team will:

* Live in the villages they serve
* Teach hygiene, personal care, and basic health
* Provide literacy and life skills education
* Train villagers in basic engineering, road building, drainage, and infrastructure maintenance
* Modernise rural agriculture and increase productivity

We demand strict timelines, measurable KPIs, and full transparency under a strengthened State Ministry for Eradication of Poverty. No corruption. No political patronage. Only results.

At present, large sums have been spent on prestige developments and major projects such as:

* Borneo Convention Centre Kuching
* Sarawak Legislative Assembly Building
* High-cost administrative and iconic “White House–style” government buildings

While development is important, buildings do not feed families. Religious and monumental projects cannot replace economic survival.

People are struggling. Poverty cannot be solved with ceremonies and grand structures.

PBK calls for:

* Scaling down non-essential mega projects
* Redirecting development funds to hardcore poverty eradication
* Investing directly in rural agriculture, cooperatives, irrigation, and farm-to-market access
* Permanent technical officers stationed in rural communities

Sarawak’s wealth must first eliminate hunger, malnutrition, and infrastructure neglect.

Development must reach the last village — not just the city skyline.

Parti Bumi Kenyalang stands for discipline, transparency, and real action.

Enough symbolism.
It is time to put food on the table.
