Recently, as public attention in Sabah and Sarawak has focused on the Kota Kinabalu High Court’s ruling that the Federal Government acted unconstitutionally in failing to return Sabah’s entitled 40% share of net revenue, certain news reports have claimed:

“The 40% revenue entitlement applies only to Sabah; Sarawak has no such right.”

Serving Alcohol in Official Functions

There is nothing for the Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing to clarify concerning the serving of alcohol at a recent Gala Dinner held during the Global Travel Meet. Tourism is a big business and Malaysians should let the minister to do his work to bring revenue and business into the country. What we need is money coming into the country to help the economy, not picking on the issues that liqueur should not be served just because there is a directive to ban liqueur during official functions because Muslims are around and we have to respect their presence?

We agree with what TYT Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi said Sarawak's position is protected in the federal constitution, the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) etc and the leaders of BN/GPS government had been harping on this for many years. This has been heard by me since I entered politics some years ago.

The One-Third Seats in Parliament was forced by Tunku Abdul Rahman for Sarawak and Sabah to accept after Sarawak and Sabah after Singapore, Sarawak and Sabah were acquired Malaya to enlarge the territories of Malaya. Malaya then took a new name of Malaysia.

Deputy Prime Minister II Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof was tasked by the primer minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim in December 2022 the responsibility of resolving outstanding issues concerning the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). It is not difficult to resolve this matter.
