GPS Appears Strong, But No Government Is Beyond Accountability
Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) wishes to emphasise that the strength of a government should not be measured solely by the number of seats it holds in the legislature, the resources at its disposal, or the length of time it has remained in office.
Sarawak already recognizes the unique religious needs of its Muslim community through the establishment of the Shariah Court. While Muslims form a minority of Sarawak's population compared to the Christian community, the existence of the Shariah Court demonstrates that special institutions can be established to serve the religious and social needs of a particular faith community.
Pengesahan terkini terhadap hak perlembagaan Sabah untuk menerima pulangan 40% daripada hasil Persekutuan sekali lagi menonjolkan perbezaan yang ketara dan membimbangkan dalam layanan terhadap negeri-negeri Borneo. Walaupun Sabah telah berjaya menuntut haknya, Sarawak terus menerima jauh lebih sedikit meskipun sumbangan besarnya kepada ekonomi Malaysia — terutamanya melalui minyak dan gas.
