Sabahans and Sarawakians have to examine statements made politicians and also a recent statement made by DPM Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi when they said Sabah and Sarawak are now accorded the status of regions and no more regarded as states in Malaysia – see World of Buzz January 13, 2023. It has to be made known to Sabahans and Sarawakians that Sabah and Sarawak were once countries independent from Malaya but was as a result of neo-colonialism engineered by the British to protect its interest in this region which at the same time engineered by the British to deny the rights of Sabah and Sarawak to gain independence by procedures laid down under the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 1514.

Time and again I received voice of unhappiness including from retired senior police officers over the loss of Sarawak Constabulary and they want Sarawak Constabulary be restored.

Nothing is perfect in politics but the team assembled by the honourable prime minister Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim should be lauded for his efforts to come with a team that could compromise the differences of ideologies of all political parties that helped to form this Unity Cabinet.

My colleagues and I are being arrested and are now in Simpang Tiga Police Station Kuching. I was told I was put under arrest under Sedition Act 1948. But police did not tell me what activities or words that I said were against the law.

The just concluded elections are a “political prostitution” of democracy. It makes democracy no more a sacred process to elect politicians and political parties to run the country. Citizens now see politicians as “prostitutes” sleeping with whom they can freely choose once elected. They keep not their words with whom they would not “sleep” with.

The Malaysian 15th Parliamentary Elections held on Saturday 19-11-2022 resulted in victories and defeats that created history. It has been 5 days since the fateful day and Malaysians are still awaiting for the announcement of a government that will hopefully deliver on all its election promises and truly heal Malaysia.

PH government had lowered the voting age to 18 years old and it now works against PH itself. UNDI-18 has become a sword by certain groups for their end.

If not careful these groups can penetrate secular society especially in Sarawak with their ideology to change their lifestyle.

As President of Parti Bumi Kenyalang, I am making this special appeal to all voters in Sarawak to vote for our Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) candidates who are contesting in this 15th General Elections. PBK is only contesting in four seats. These seats are the seat of Bandar Kuching, Stampin, Lanang and Mas Gading. Contesting for Bandar Kuching is myself, Voon Lee Shan. Lue Cheng Hing is contesting for Stampin and Priscilla Lau for Lanang seats while Ryan Sim Min Leong is contesting for Mas Gading seat.

KUCHING, Nov 7: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) pleads to Democratic Action Party (DAP) to withdraw from contesting in Sarawak in the 15th General Election (GE15). Its president Voon Lee Shan said there are three reasons why DAP should withdraw from this election.

Hitting PBK and their members below the belt by you accusing us that way instead of debating on issues affecting the livelihood and well-being of people shows that you are empty tins and not able to solve problems affecting people and country, Sarawak. Each elections come, your empty tin becomes louder and louder to the extent of telling voters you will seal our roads and drains with gold, jade and diamonds.

I am appealing to party supporters to donate funds to our Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) candidates who stand elections in this 15th General Elections. Your donations could be given to our party candidates who are standing in this 15th General Elections or to our party. Your help however little will be very meaningful to us and it will be a great help to our candidates and party.

If GPS is desirous to be in the federal cabinet, it is no point to just make up the numbers in the federal cabinet, enjoying air-conditioned room and sipping coffee with other ministers.

Never trust political parties from Malaya. UMNO knew our problems even before Malaysia. Leaders from Malaya, especially, from UMNO before Malaysia was formed came with promises that Sarawak would be treated as an equal partner in the federation of Malaysia. We were being made fools to have signed the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63). Smaller states like Kedah, Perlis and Melaka got better annual budget than us.

DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook said DAP will not rule out a collaboration with Umno as “anything is possible in politics” - see 7th August 2022 Free Malaysia Today

The spike in prices of airfares during elections is foreseeable and the GPS government should have plans and ideas to overcome this to ensure that Sarawakians could come back to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

The Elections commission is urged to ban the carrying of cameras and hand phones into voting rooms. This is to prevent buying votes by candidates and political parties that could afford it. The buying of votes by using a camera or hand phone which has camera is a simple process.

(Dayak Daily October 18, 2022)Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof may need to examine how a strong Malaya controlled federal government assisted by Sarawak Barisan Nasional, now rebranded as GPS had failed to do justice to Sarawak in many ways since Malaysia existed in 1963.

Although Gabungan Parti Sarawak (#GPS) will for the first time go alone in general elections but there is no love lost between GPS and Malaya political parties. The relationship was cemented for the past many years.

Ling’s claim that local opposition parties have done less than DAP’s 44 years’ presence in Sarawak is a direct attempt to claim victory for a long lost battle by DAP in Sarawak.

Since Malaysia came into being, the Head of State or Yang Di Pertua Negri Sarawak was always a muslim. This started with the appointment of the Tun Abang Haji Openg bin Abang Sapiee from 16 September 1963 to 28 Mac 1969 by the Yang Di Pertua Agong.
