Dayaks talk about many things which they have no control over. They offer solutions that MM are not interested in because MM decide what is best for Sarawak vis-a-viz MM.
Dayaks have not shown that they can accomplish anything. Rumah Dayak has some say become langkau Dayak in the middle of civilization.
Perhaps because a Dayak is a deputy minister of tourism and heritage, perhaps then langkau Dayak can become a Dayak Heritage Museum.
One thing Dayaks are good at is organising multiple Pekit Kumang Pekit Keling. That no one can beat them. Not one, not two, not three but many, and in the process after each May, Kumang and Keling segaw segau sebelah pasar Kuching, Miri, Sibu.
A comment by a Dayak Ph.D. man:
Hehehe…Enti Amat jako nn tu, Tuhan Jesus aja ke ulih mutarka bansa Dayak tu Prof Datuk. Bc bala sekeda madah Dayak Ngaduka Dayak. Kira ka self help and self elevation munyi ko jaku orang putih. Sabar aja, crawl first before you start to walk or climb.Glory to God

Exactly, Prof Datuk. They want others to change to accommodate them. How naive! The best changes come from self first. As Prof Jordan Peterson famously said, if you want the environment to improve around you, you should start with your own bedroom first before trying to organize other people’s houses, villages, and the community.
Asking the MMs to repent and change their ways while they are enjoying the privileges is just plain simpleton. We need to make the move - a decisive move. We can not do it by just organizing beauty contests or similar “Budaya Joget” as Mader put it in his Malay Dilemma. These are just distractions to dumb people down as to the real issues they are facing. The recent firestorm raging in socmed regarding chicken wings and brewskies hits the nerve of many Dayaks of all levels, shades, and colours. These distractions have successfully numb the common sense , and people on the other side just shook their heads in bewilderment. Sadly, this observation is taken as nothing else but as an insult and not as an indicator in their self-reflection practice.
Self-help should begin with self-reflection of the ‘man in the mirror first’. If you don’t want other people to point out your ‘bad breath zone” and feel insulted, do a collective deep soul searching to SWOT and PEST analyze yourself.
Don’t just get mad at us for saying it out loud. Do something about it. Please!
