We have received a message from one of our supporters letting us know that a friend of their is in need as they have raised their white flag,

so we got hold of that person's contact to confirm it. So not only they say yes, but they mentioned another family that they know also needs it.

They resides at the kampung lembah hijau Riam area, so our team gathered some of our resources and went on to arranged the food aid for them. When we reached there, they are so grateful for our help, they even requested to take picture with us with their father! Although, we said beforehand we won't be taking their pictures as we do not want them to feel shameful for asking for help.

After the delivery we went back directly due to the restrictions of PKP, that we are not supposed to gather in a place. So we did our job and we went back.

Later the evening a few more sent in messages, this time is directly telling us that they need help not thru referrals. So we think it must be their friends nearby the same kampung. In the past we had receive request for food aids, financial aids and legal aids from people in miri, but never at such rate before..

This is a reflection that the bantuans given out by the current federal and Sarawak government are not reaching the people that truly needs it or to say that it is not done fast enough.

All MPs are provided RM300,000 to hand out food aid, RM15b to employers for workers’ pay, RM10m for Orang Asli where as All 82 Sarawak constituencies are provided RM200,000 to provide basic necessities to target groups under the Sarawak government’s financial aid package to mitigate the effects of the movement control order (MCO). it's not to say there are not enough funds to help the ones in need. But did the help reached the ones that needs it?

The Current ruling governments needs have more effective strategies to be efficient in providing the assistance and solutions needed to help the people.
