The assertion in Parliament that the Emergency Ordinances been revoked without the consent and knowledge of the King showed that the PN government has no respect at all for the King. Datuk Seri Takiyuddin, being the de facto law minister who made this assertion in Parliament should gentlemanly tender his resignation. What he did had not only embarrassed the King but as if telling the King and nation that the King need not be respected.

No King of any nation would be able to take such act by any of his minister appointed by him. The King has a right to dismiss Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan immediately.

If GPS upholds and respect the monarchy as claimed by its party Secretary General, Datuk Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi (see Borneo Post Online 29 July 2021), then, GPS MPs in Parliament should call for the resignation of the de facto law minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan who made this assertion.

GPS government should also withdraw its support from the Prime Minister and from PN government. By not withdrawing its support, GPS government could be seen to have agreed to the actions taken by the PN government to revoke the emergency ordinances without the knowledge and consent of the King.

In fact, collective responsibility calls for the whole Cabinet Minister including the Prime Minister to resign for embarrassment caused to the King and country.

The King, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah said he was “deeply saddened” by de facto law minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan’s assertion in Parliament that the Emergency Ordinances have been revoked without his consent and knowledge is understandable.

The Emergency was imposed by the King upon representation made by the government to the King to fight Covid-19 but, the fight is a failure. For this failure whereby much money been spent and lives lost, Parti Bumi Kenyalang calls for the resignation of the Prime Minister and his Cabinet.
